1. Admissions Fees & Funding
Fees include all meals, snacks, nappies and trips.
The Government has recently introduced new funding for eligible 2-year-olds from April 2024, and for 9–23-month-olds from September 2024. We will be accepting Childcare Vouchers. For more information about fees and funding, please contact us.
2. What will my child be doing at Lara Nursery?

3. What is the staff-to-child ratio?
We pride ourselves on offering low adult to child ratios, going above and beyond minimum requirements.
4. What is your teaching style?
Our unique curriculum draws from three pioneering early years educationalists. Theories from Montessori, Froebel and Steiner allow us to teach a curriculum tailored to each child’s individual learning styles and interests.
5. Do you offer full-time or part-time care?
Yes, we offer both and full and part-time care with a minimum booking requirement of 2 days per week.
6. What ages do you accept?
We offer care from 0 – 5 years. If your baby is younger than 3 months old, we would assess your childcare needs before admission. Movement between our rooms is fluid and we often move children between rooms throughout the day depending on their developmental needs.
7. What are your opening hours?
Our full day session is 8.00 am until 6.00 pm for all ages. We offer an extended evening session from 6.00 pm – 6.30 pm and an early morning session from 7.30 am – 8.00 am. Minimum booking requirement is 2 days per week.
8. What kind of meals and snacks do you provide?
All of our meals and snacks are freshly prepared by our onsite chef, we encourage children to try new flavours and foods and be fully involved in growth and preparation of vegetables and herbs.
9. How do you handle allergies and dietary restrictions?
We know that children can be fussy eaters, have food intolerances and food allergies. Our Chefs have a breadth of knowledge and training when it comes to keeping children safe around food. Children will have meals tailored to their needs.
10. Do you offer settling-in periods?
Yes, we offer two settling in sessions where parents can stay with their child to help them settle. We also hold weekly parent and baby groups so children can become familiar with our setting together with their parent.
